Leadership
Shemiell Joseph, President and Chief Executive Officer of Internity Consulting, brings more than 15 years of professional experience spanning sales, marketing, corporate recruiting and talent acquisition. Her career has included extensive work within the sustainability and renewable energy sector, where she developed experience connecting organizational talent needs with emerging professionals and university partners.
As Intern Program Manager at Pattern Energy, Shemiell led the management, expansion and continued development of the company’s internship program. During her four years leading the internship program, she increased program participation by more than 80%, while diverse representation ultimately grew to more than 75% of the program. As the program expanded, she extended internship opportunities into departments that had not previously participated, including information technology and procurement, broadening both the program’s organizational reach and its talent pathways.
Shemiell also developed the framework and operating requirements for the company’s first field-based internship, adapting the program to accommodate the distinct requirements of a field and safety-sensitive role. This required collaboration across human resources and operational leadership, including HR business partners, site and regional management. She managed the program across its core functions and coordinated with executive leadership to ensure organizational goals and program requirements were met.
Her work also included strengthening university relationships and emerging-talent pipelines. She served in an advisory capacity on a collaborative sustainability project with Rice University students that received a Best Environment & Sustainability Engineering Design award. She has also moderated industry panels addressing workforce and talent issues within the renewable energy sector and held leadership positions on industry committees and advisory councils.
Today, Shemiell brings that employer-side experience to Internity Consulting, helping organizations design, strengthen and manage internship programs around their goals, resources and workforce needs. A Texas Tech University alumna, she leads Internity with firsthand experience in the challenges employers face when building, expanding and adapting internship programs to meet evolving organizational needs.
